Dread

The dreaded summons came in the mail today. Rick will need to report for jury duty.

I got lucky and was not selected for any jury when I was summoned to the local municipality court house. I fervently pray Rick is not on any lengthy cases or any cases requiring sequestering. And I wonder if the jury pool man's pay is enough to cover the parking fees he will rack up.

These things always happen at a time most inconvenient for the potential juror's workplace.

As you can imagine, I did NOT make his day when I called him with the news.
