School is still out for summer. But I'm bending the rules a bit. This is in order to take advantage of an opportunity for the Artist. Friends of ours asked us to join them on a tour of the Malley's Chocolate plant this morning. No arm-twisting needed!
After the tour we'll head back to my place for sandwiches. Then the Artist will be joining my friends for a tour of the Plain Dealer plant. As the newspaper does not allow children under eight years on their tours, I'll be staying home will all the wee ones.
Doesn't sound like school yet? Well, perhaps when the Artist is writing a paragraph about each experience it will take on more of a school work feel. She already knows, she has to do it anyway. I'm hoping to avoid the parts where the mommy-teacher says, too sloppy, do it again.
The Artist is excited about the trips. She has been writing her daily schedule for the past week and sticking with it better than before. With a big grin, she earmarked 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for field trips on her calendar today.
