It appears the tournament we were planning to attend in Columbus, OH later this month may be cancelled. The sponsoring school has only received about 20% of the expected enrollment based on figures from last year.
Our main reason for signing the Artist up for this tournament was to give her experience sparring strangers. It would be a big bummer if she were to travel there and end up without opponents!
We will hear by Monday whether it is a go or not.
On a happier note, Parma Family Martial Arts Center was asked to do a demonstration at a local rib cook-off festival this Sunday. There was not a lot of notice! The students have been rehearsing during class this week. The black belts have been holding extra rehearsals after class. I'm looking forward to seeing what they do.
