Airplanes and Lions

When the time came that we separated the kid's bedrooms and the Engineer first had a room of his own, we decided to decorate it with kites and airplanes. Along the way he also picked up a stuffed winged dragon that hangs from his ceiling.
Now the Engineer is old enough and he most definitely has the aptitude to begin building some beginner models of his own. Last weekend Rick and he began with an airplane.

Rick said the Engineer was not too happy with having to sand some wood pieces, but he was thrilled with the painting!The Artist has been lending her creative talents to the kitchen lately. She made these cheddar cheese scones yesterday to remind us of the story of Daniel in the Lion's Den. The recipe is from her Bible Food Fun cook book, a gift from her great aunt. They were very tasty!
